What It Does
3DStreet takes a Streetmix or StreetPlan cross-section and turns it into a fully rendered 3D street scene — complete with cyclists, pedestrians, vehicles, trees, and buildings. It makes your street redesign feel real.
How to Use It
Step 1: Create Your Design in Streetmix
Design your street cross-section in Streetmix first.
Step 2: Import into 3DStreet
Open 3dstreet.com, paste your Streetmix URL, and watch your 2D design become a 3D scene.
Step 3: Customise
- Add buildings, people, and vehicles
- Change the time of day (lighting)
- Adjust camera angles for the best presentation view
- Overlay real-world context using Google 3D Tiles
Step 4: Present
Export images or screen-record a walkthrough for council presentations, social media, or club discussions.
Why This Matters for She Cycles
A 3D visualisation of a redesigned street is incredibly persuasive. When a councillor or RWA president can see a photorealistic image of their street with protected bike lanes, trees, and wide sidewalks, the conversation changes from "is this possible?" to "when can we start?"
